This year's theme was Together We Can! Build Minds, Build Collections, Build Libraries, Build Connections.
Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners Director Maier and Commissioners Kaufman and Zangwill stressed the need for increased state support to meet the escalating demand for library services. Representative Charles Murphy (Twenty First Middlesex including Burlington) urged us to be persistent in asking for that support from our legislators.
Massachusetts Library Association Past President and Director of Billerica Public Library Barbara Flaherty closed the meeting and encouraged attendees to join MLA on April 5th at the State House for Library Legislative Day.
