Dr. Brandt, a former naval officer, has been a professor at the Air Force Institute of technology and dean of academic affairs at the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management. He is an experienced group leader for the Foreign Policy Associations' "Great Decisions" series.

along with purchase of a $20 "Great Decisions 2012 Briefing Book" containing background readings.
