The Friends of the Burlington Public Library hold two weekend-long book sales each year, generally in April and October. Thousands of "previously read" books, audio-books, DVDs and music CDs are offered for purchase at a very modest price. Choose from general fiction, history, biography, travel, health, computing, home-improvement, hobbies and more. There is always an extensive collection of books, puzzles, music and films for children as well.

There are always special discounts for members at these sales. Not a member? Did you let your membership lapse? You can pay your dues at the door. A membership application form is available online or at the library: you can fill out the form at any time and return it, along with your membership fee, to the library.

Can't wait for the next booksale? Check out the "Ongoing Booksale" in a pair of specially marked bookcase on the main floor of the library, close to the New Books section.

The Library accepts donations of gently used books, DVDs, audio-books,
and music CDs year-round. Bring them to the front desk at your convenience.

Please, no encyclopedias, out-of-date textbooks,
Readers' Digest condensed books, or magazines.
